     6        A.  No, he was talking to somebody.

     9        A.  No, no, the most I could say you indicated that
    10        afternoon was that both of you were involved in the
    11        organisation, Gravett probably more than you because he
    12        took part in a cow in a pantomime.

    14   Q.   When you saw me in this position you say I was standing
    15        near the plane tree and handing out those leaflets?
    16        A.  No, midway the plane tree.

    19        A.  The plane tree is on the outside of the pavement, you
    20        were on the inside of the pavement.

    22   MS. STEEL:   Well, fairly near, we are talking about a few feet?
    23        A.  We are talking about ten feet, something like that.

    25   Q.   So, I was on the building side of the pavement?
    26        A.  Yes.

    28   Q.   Right.  So to hand leaflets to members of the public
    29        passing up and down I would have been facing the road?
    30        A.  Yes.

    32   Q.   You then walked from the car park, you basically were
    33        standing in more or less the same position in the car park
    34        during this?
    35        A.  More or less, yes.

    37   Q.   Right.  You then walked to pick up your car?
    38        A.  No, no, I walked...  At the back of our building, there
    39        is a footpath.

    Q.   Right.  Yes.  Sorry?
    42        A.  Which runs up to a service road to a small block of
    43        flats behind the building.  Behind our building.  I walked
    44        up that footpath to the roadway along the road, it is no
    45        distance, and turned right and came back down with the hope
    46        of being offered a leaflet.  In fact, as it turned out,
    47        there was someone almost immediately round the corner,
    48        handing out the leaflets.

    50   Q.   That was right at the north of the building? 
    51        A.  Yes, he was about...  I do not know, maybe ten, 15 
    52        yards from this little service road.

    54   Q.   Is that the road that kind of goes round to where you have
    55        got like a sort of mock McDonald's restaurant?
    56        A.  No, no, there is no mock McDonald's restaurant.
