     6   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  That is the same one, is it?

     8   THE WITNESS:  This is a different one.  This is the same one.
     9        That is the same one.  This is a different bird.  It cannot
    10        stand up.  This is a different bird and, if you have a look
    11        in the top right corner as well, you see another bird there
    12        that is clearly dying.  This is the start of the whole
    13        film.  There are two birds.

    20        helpful if we do the same thing again about them being
         different birds because this is the whole continuous thing.

    38        that the outside of the farm that you filmed?
    39        A.  Yes, it was.

    43   MS. STEEL:  I do not know whether this is remotely important but
    44        just in case it ever is, at the beginning of the continuous
    45        sequence there is no time on the video film.  Is that the
    46        same time or what?  Can you just explain what happened?
    47        A.  I had forgotten to switch it on, but when I realised it
    48        was not on I just pressed the button for the time and date
    49        to appear.

    51   Q.   The other thing is I actually forgot to ask you if you are 
    52        happy for this statement to be taken as your evidence? 
    53        A.  Yes.

    55   Q.   You have given your estimated age of the chickens in the
    56        middle of the statement.  Have you filmed chickens before,
    57        and do you know roughly what age they were?
    58        A.  I have filmed chickens before from day one right the
    59        way through to slaughter age.
