the adjustments audit report which is done first and then
the information on that, the final information on that, is
transferred to the clock card file?
       A. No -- yes, it is correct, yes.

  Q. We can see that from the timing, can we not? If you look
at the time column, which is the furthest one on the right
in the adjustments report, it starts at 11.13 in the
morning of 28th, I assume, is that right -- you see the
time at the top, 29th November 1990?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The time of this document is 3.53?
       A. Yes, sorry, I am looking at the wrong place, yes.

  Q. 3.53 in the morning. Then the times in the right-hand
column on that sheet must be the times for the day before
       28th?
       A. Yes, I think that would be right.

  Q. Wednesday, 28th. You see that the last time in that column
       is 3.47, yes?
       A. Yes.

  Q. If you look at the clock card sheets you see that they
begin on page 1 at 3.47. Do you see that?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Where do we see that?

MR. RAMPTON: The top of page 1, my Lord.

  THE WITNESS: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: It is the information on the clock card sheets, is
it not, which forms the basis on which the crew members are
       paid?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The clock card file, it says, that is what
       you mean, is it?

MR. RAMPTON: That is what I mean, my Lord. I call it "sheet",
I am sorry. (To the witness): It is the clock card file,
Mr. Coton, is it not, that forms the basis on which the
       crew members are paid?
       A. It is, yes.

  Q. It is sent by modem through to Headquarters who then send
it on to the bank, do they not?
       A. I believe that is the system, yes.

  Q. So if crew members are going to be cheated out of their due
entitlement, the mechanics of that will appear, will they
not, on the adjustment audits report and not on the clock
       card sheets?
       A. No, any adjustments that were created to anything would
be on the audit report, with the clock card files the end
       result.

  Q. Shall we just have a look at some few examples? One other
thing before I do that: Each crew member has a number, do
