MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Morris, I was prepared to give you the
quarter of an hour you wanted this morning, but I propose
to sit sharp at 10.30 on Monday. I know Mr. Alimi has been
in court in the past. If you need to take any further
instructions from him before you call him on Monday
morning, you must get here early to do so, or do it over
the weekend; because, otherwise, one just falls into the
habit of starting late every time there is a new witness.

MR. MORRIS: We would like to call our witness.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Mr. Sutcliffe, come into the witness box,
please.

PETER EVERARD SUTCLIFFE, affirmed
Examined by the Defendants

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you sit down comfortably on that chair or
not?

THE WITNESS: Sure.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Right. Since you are sitting down, keep
your voice up loud and clear. The microphone does not help
you at all; that is just for the recording mechanism.
Speak out loud and clear into the court, and take your time
when answering the questions. Yes, Mr. Morris.

MR. MORRIS: Your full name, please, Mr. Sutcliffe?
A. My full name is Peter Everard Sutcliffe.

Q. What is your present occupation?
A. I am a team leader for the Stonebridge Housing Action
Trust.

Q. Did you work for McDonald's for over 12 months at East Ham
from December 1986?
A. I did.

Q. So you worked throughout 1987?
A. Yes.

Q. Just before we go into the details from there, what kind of
jobs have you done since you left McDonald's?
A. I have been an early morning cleaner, I have done
administrative jobs, and for the last six or seven years
I have worked in public housing within a variety of
organisations.

Q. Was McDonald's your first job?
A. Yes, it was.

Q. How old are you now?
A. Sorry?

Q. How old are you now?
A. I am 28.
