  Q. But they visited in this case in or around July 1979?
       A. If that is what is in my statement, that is -----

  Q. You specifically say a date; you just included it in the
middle of a paragraph which ends up with something that
happened in July 1979. So do you recall it happening
       around about that time?
       A. I recall some complaint, but I cannot remember the
       details of it.

  Q. Did you employ a 14-year-old at one stage in or round
       June 1979?
       A. Not to my knowledge, but there may have been, because
I remember the managers were responsible for employing
people in the restaurants. I cannot say for sure whether
they did or they did not.

  Q. So you would not remember much about the situation?
       A. No.

MR. MORRIS: OK. I think we will leave that there.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Can I say, as a matter of legal point, we did, if
you remember, pleaded that originally, this issue, and we
did not have anything to back it up. We have since. I did
not want to replead it, but we put it to the witness.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: One thing which I might have to do at the end
of the day is look at the pleaded allegations with regard
to specific stores and see what evidence there is to
support which of them at the end of the day.

MR. MORRIS: Yes. The reasons -- I mean, because it was dealt
with in Mr. Mehigan's statement, I obviously felt I ought
       to bring it up anyway.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do not worry.

MR. MORRIS: I just wanted to reassure you that any of our
pleadings are based on reasonable belief. That was one
that was cut out because we did not have a document to
hand. But whether it is true -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: That was one which I struck out, was it?

MR. MORRIS: Yes, you struck it out.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me just make a note of that.

MR. RAMPTON: I would not want Mr. Morris to think that an
article from a radical Irish newspaper is evidence of any
       kind at all.

MR. MORRIS: No, but the point is, it is evidence of reasonable
       belief.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What Mr. Morris is saying, if he had been
