Day 159 - 20 Jul 95 - Page 17

asking our witnesses about them. It is far harder for us
to do things when we are in court than it is for the
Plaintiffs because, obviously, we have nobody else to do it
for us. So, we will leave it in your hands but we would
prefer it if it was sooner.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have to say they seem reasonable to me.
The very last of the dates is, in fact, four weeks before
we resume on 25th September, i.e. Monday, 28th August. I
appreciate that you need as much as possible but you have
probably got plenty you can do if you wish with regard to
future preparation in the meantime. So, unless you have
any positive objection for a specific reason, they do seem
       reasonable times to me.

MS. STEEL: Provided that the Plaintiffs will try to disclose
       things as rapidly as possible.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, Mr. Rampton has said that.

MR. RAMPTON: I have said that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I direct then that the matters referred to in
       paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 14 from page 12 in the
uncorrected version of what I said onwards, in respect of
those the Plaintiffs should disclose the document or give
an answer in respect of it by Monday, 7th August,
Mr. Rampton having said that if the information is
available before then, it will be given to the Defendants.

In respect of item 13, the matter should be dealt with by
21st August and in respect of matters in paragraphs 7, 9
and 12 by Monday, 28th August.

MS. STEEL: I have a couple of things that I wanted to bring
up. Firstly, last year before his opening speech
Mr. Rampton wanted the May 1991 video of the picket -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Can you keep your voice help, please?

MS. STEEL: For his opening speech last year, Mr. Rampton wanted
to use the May 1991 of the picket of McDonald's Head
Office. The Plaintiffs have lost their copy. I returned
the copy that we had. I have asked on a number of
occasions for a copy to be given to me and we still have
not been given one. The other matter that I wanted to
       bring up -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let us deal with them one at a time.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, that is on our list to deal so soon as
       the hearings end next Tuesday.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will merely indicate that I think that
should come back by Monday, 7th August at the latest to be
added to your list of English matters.

MS. STEEL: The other thing is that at one of the previous
hearings for the counterclaim, we asked about the
privileged document that was in the counterclaim bundle,
