Day 154 - 13 Jul 95 - Page 08
of very immature, sort of 18 to 20 year olds, who went
round in a group. I do not remember Omid being part of
that group. They used to go out drinking together and
socialising together. I am not saying he would not have
been part of it; I am just saying I do not remember him
being part of that group.

Q. You said in your statement it was possible that you did say
to either Robert Pilgrim or one of the other crew that the
McDonald's Freedom Fighters had gone too far and it should
stop or there would be trouble?
A. I could possibly have said that, yes.

Q. You also said that you recalled on one occasion a couple of
the crew in the McDonald's Freedom Fighters walking out of
the shift after a disagreement with the shift running
manager?
A. That may have happened. I do not specifically recall
it at present.

Q. You actually do say in your statement: "However, I recall
on one occasion a couple of them walked out on shift after
a disagreement with the shift running manager."
A. I may have recalled that, what I said in my statement.

Q. It would have been accurate when you put it in your
statement, would it?
A. I would say so.

Q. You would not have put something down that you did not
recall?
A. Not in my statement, no.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you want to ask Mr. Davis what sort of
trouble he felt there may be?

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It might be relevant.

MS. STEEL: Perhaps he could answer? What trouble were you
referring to if they did not -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What was there to worry about the McDonald's
Freedom Fighters?
A. It was more irritating than specific trouble. It was,
say, the four, or however many it was -- I think it was
about four of them -- if they were working together in a
grill team, they were just sort of generally mucking about,
ill-disciplined; just generally sort of being slightly
disruptive, not overtly so, but just slightly disruptive.

MS. STEEL: You were indicating, though, that there would be
trouble from you, that they had to stop or there would be
trouble?
A. It was just very childish, the way they were behaving.
It was like something out of a cartoon book, if you like.
They were not -- they were just behaving very immaturely on
the shift.
