Day 154 - 13 Jul 95 - Page 07

  Q. That is what is in the transcript on day 152, page 57,
line three. You said: "I could not previously remember
       them at all."
       A. No. If I said that, that is not what I meant. What
I meant was I could not remember the reason for their
formation. I could vaguely remember the McDonald's Freedom
Fighters prior to that occasion, but I could not remember
specifically, you know, what constituted the formation of
       the so-called group.

  Q. Your memory was jogged about the skinhead incident leading
to the formation of the McDonald's Freedom Fighters on
Monday, I think you said. You were giving your evidence on
       Tuesday, and you said "yesterday".
       A. Some time this week, yes.

  Q. What did Mrs. Brinley-Codd say about the skinhead incident?
       A. She just said: "Do you remember a skinhead incident
       happening in Colchester?"

  Q. So you previously had not mentioned the skinhead incident
       to her?
       A. No.

  Q. Who are the people that you remember being involved with
       the McDonald's Freedom Fighters?
       A. I cannot actually remember specific people. I know
there was a group of about four, sort of 18 to 20 year
       olds, that sort of age.

  Q. Omid Shafibeck?
       A. I do not specifically remember him being part of it.

  Q. Robert Pilgrim?
       A. Possibly.

  Q. Phil Claydon?
       A. Possibly.

  Q. Julian Keogh?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What was the name? How do you spell his name
       surname?

MS. STEEL: K-E-O-G-H; and Paul Jackson?
       A. Yes, those sort of names. If I were to picture the
people, that might concur with those -- apart from Omid,
I would not imagine him being part of that group.

  Q. He actually said in his statement that he was one of the
       people that founded them?
       A. Did he?

  Q. You said in your statement it was possible that you did say
       to either Robert Pilgrim -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Could I just ask: why not Omid? What was
there about the Freedom Fighters or about Omid which makes
you think that that was unlikely?
       A. Just the fact that the other names mentioned were sort
