       A. They can do it through other -----

  Q. But your claim has been that rap sessions are specifically
       for that purpose?
       A. But there are other things that are specifically for
that purpose. We are talking about, how do you communicate
       with people?

  Q. Yes, but are you saying that rap sessions are not any
       different to other meetings then?
       A. No, that is not what I am saying, but you raised a
specific instance of a type of communication, and I am
saying to you that rap sessions is a way of facilitating
that kind of communication, but there are also other ways
of facilitating that kind of communication.

  Q. But, for example, if rap sessions were occurring frequently
during this dispute in Canada, in Ontario, then I am trying
to say is that general, normal laboratory conditions?
       A. I would say so. There is nothing unusual with holding
       frequent rap sessions at all.

  Q. They should be heard every three months or something like
       that?
       A. No.

  Q. Or less?
       A. You are twisting what I am saying. I am saying to you
that each owner/operator, each Company store, has its own
style of communicating. We have recommended ways of doing
it. They use those recommended ways when they choose to.
They use other ways when they choose to. There is no
set -- people do not do things exactly the same way. They
use their good judgment on how they need to communicate.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think we may be going around and around in
circles here. If it were the fact that rap sessions were
held more frequently than had hitherto been normal there in
the run up to the election, would there be anything wrong
       with that?
       A. No, my Lord.

MR. MORRIS: The fact is rap sessions in the USA are not held
every six weeks or every three months?
       A. No, they maybe held weekly or they may be held monthly
or they may be held a variety of different times.

  Q. What is your policy then? What do you recommend? What is
your recommended frequency for rap sessions in the USA?
       A. Based upon the judgment of the store management people,
they should hold these sessions. They are running and
       operating their restaurants.

  Q. What is the guideline?
       A. They need to make judgment decisions.

  Q. What is the guideline for the frequency of rap sessions in
       McOpco Company controlled stores?
       A. I like to see them happen at least every three months
        -- at least.
