     8        It starts off, and I presume you will accept this:  "On
     9        Friday, May 12th, 1989, McDonald's fast-food chain in
    10        Denmark reached agreement with the Danish Hotel and
    11        Restaurant Workers Federation."   Do you recall that at
    12        all?

    15        A.  I am aware that there is an agreement between our
    16        franchisees.  I am not sure of the name of the union but
    17        this is probably correct.  I am aware that there have been
    18        two or three successive agreements, my Lord.

    23        but it is basically OK.  I am not disputing the date; it is

    48        involving 12 different unions in Denmark"; boycotting work
    49        done on McDonald's stores and there was a consumer boycott
    50        campaign in Finland and various other countries which 
    51        I will not mention.  But, were you aware of this dispute in 
    52        the late 80s in Denmark? 
    53        A.  I am aware that the owner/operators have been
    54        negotiating, were negotiating, throughout the 80s with
    55        I think it is this union for a collective bargaining
    56        agreement.
