1 Saturday was because it was Grand National day and the
2 centre of Liverpool is deserted. So, it would be a very,
3 very quiet Saturday afternoon.

6 A. Yes. I think, if I remember rightly, it was at
7 3 o'clock.

9 Q. Right. So these were not people that were scheduled that
10 day?
11 A. Oh, yes. There would be some. They would reduce the
12 people on the floor to a minimum, so that as many people
13 could attend the crew meeting as possible. That is normal
14 procedure.

16 Q. So crew meetings are held in work-time, are they?
17 A. Yes.

19 Q. Peter Richards who was the Regional Manager -- does that
20 cover the whole of the North West region?
21 A. Yes, insofar as it extended at that time.

24 A. Yes.

27 A. I am sure -- yes, the Supervisor was certainly there.

33 A. You mean senior personnel, I take it?

47 by asking if the discussion at the meeting about trades
48 unions was in any respect different to the ones at Hackney
