MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes?

MR. MORRIS: We have received this morning in the post some
documents from Eville and Jones, and we also copied
the -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: The regulations.

MR. MORRIS: The regulations, schedules 7 and 9 only, plus the
introductory explanation.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, let me just look at those. Do you want
me to put those in your Volume V then, supplementary V?

MR. MORRIS: If you wish, yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Regulations, first of all.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, the regulations I do not think we need to
refer to them today.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think if I might -- I will make the
regulations tab 19. I must say, my bundle is getting
pretty full, so I think if we have in any further documents
next week we ought to start another one. What about the
letters?

MR. MORRIS: The Eville and Jones ones, well, before we put them
behind anything, it may be appropriate behind her
statement, but I would like to ask the witness in the
witness box a couple of things.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Has Mr. Rampton had copies of them?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: And have had time to read them?

MR. RAMPTON: I have, my Lord, yes. I have read them.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me just glance through them and then I
can see what they are about. Yes?

Examined by the Defendants, continued.

MR. MORRIS: First of all, Ms. Hovi, these documents which you
have seen, yes?
A. Yes.

Q. Are these the correspondence file that was in the OVS room
at Jarretts?
A. No, it is not. There is just one document here that
would have been in that file which is the letter from MAFF,
a MAFF letterhead, directed to me giving me notice of an
up-coming MAFF inspection.

Q. That is a month's notice of a visit?
A. That is right.
