Day 106 - 23 Mar 95 - Page 37

MR. RAMPTON: Tab 10, my Lord, are pages from a textbook which
we are hoping to get the whole of in due course, I think
setting out what is recommended by the EC directive,
particularly in the table on page 91. Finally, my
       Lord -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I will not ask you if you have seen that,
because it is just a way of producing information as
       to .....
       A. I am familiar with the contents, my Lord.

  Q. I will tick that.

MR. RAMPTON: 10A is a McDonald's delivery acceptance record,
accepting food from Golden West and giving various things
importance such as hygiene and temperature.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Have you seen that Mr. North?
       A. 10A my Lord? The blank form is all I have.

MR. RAMPTON: It is a blank form.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just a blank form.
       A. Right.

  Q. Have you seen it before?
       A. I do not recall it, my Lord.

MR. RAMPTON: Finally in relation to Jarrett in a separate file,
       the Jarrett file -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Perhaps if you could just close that one,
Mr. North. There is a file there -- I am not sure where it
is -- which has got "Jarrett file" on it; it is quite a
       slim one.

MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I do not know there are any tabs in that
       file.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, there are not.

MR. RAMPTON: There are in mine but beginning at page 2 are the
Bristol Food Laboratory's specific tests for E.coli
0157: H7 for most of 1994. Then from page -- I am doing
these in a different order, I am afraid -- 67 there are the
Bristol Food Laboratory reports for TVCs, both for meat and
for equipment and structure; in other words, swab samples
for one and microbiological analyses for the other. That
runs through to page, I think I am right, 87.

Then on page 12 begin the Jarrett quality control checks
for, again I think, all or most of 1994, which run through
to page 80 something, unless I have got it in a
muddle -- 88 it might be, I do not know; no, some start at
page 12 and then there are others which start later on,
anyhow, that is what those are -- running from the boning
room right through to the dispatch box, if I can call it
       that without infringing parliamentary privilege.

Then, finally, in that bundle are some documents, McKey
