Day 100 - 09 Mar 95 - Page 03
were the quality control sheets from 3rd May to 23rd August
1993, the quality control reports 1993 to 1994 and the
quality control reports 1993, 1994 -- all destroyed on that
day in November 1994.

Your Lordship will see from that ---

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me just look, please. Yes?

MR. RAMPTON: -- the black lines across the last of those pages
are the documents, the list of documents, referred to in
the letter which were destroyed in the 40 boxes. Your
Lordship will notice that the unfortunate individual
responsible was shortly afterwards sacked by Group Four.

MR. MORRIS: Does it say that somewhere?

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, indeed, it does. My Lord, the actual list
which your Lordship has is compiled, we think -- I will
have it further confirmed, if your Lordship would wish it,
but this is what we have been told -- as well as the actual
sheets which have been destroyed, McKey maintain a
handwritten log in summary form showing what the results of
the tests were.

So far as we are aware at present, that handwritten log
contains no more information than is contained on the
typewritten list which your Lordship has.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. RAMPTON: There is nothing more I can add to that at the
moment.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know which dates -- I see on the
printout it says quality control sheets 3rd May 1993 to
23rd August 1993 and then quality control reports
1993/1994, 1993/1994.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you know up to what time and after what
time the sheets are available, because that was the other
part of the indication, I will call it, I gave that if they
were not still available -- of course, I was not
anticipating an event such as you have put forward, but
just routine destruction.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes. What we do know is that we have some from
1993. Those did not emanate from McKey, those came from
Mr. Kenny's file. What I do not know at the moment (and
will find out if your Lordship wishes me to do so) is
whether that destruction covers the whole of 1994, or
whether there may be some that were put in boxes, as it
were, after in date the 40 that were destroyed, for the
later part of 1994. That, I am afraid, I do not know but
I could find out. Whether it is helpful is entirely
another question.

The single advantage of the date of 12th January for which
