       referring to there?
       A. No.

  Q. But it did not, as far as you know, apply to Smith Street?
       A. That is right.

  Q. If you look at the one over, 774 -- I get confused on times
here -- if you have a quick look at that and then 776, the
       Nicholas Scott MP letter -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: He was Minister for the Disabled.

MR. MORRIS: Right. Was that his specific post? The Right
Honourable Nicholas Scott MP on 12th February 1993 writes
to McDonald's President, Mr. Preston, over meetings between
Dr. Gordon Taylor of the Royal Hospital Ward Residents
Association and the management of the McDonald's, including
concerns about environment/index.html">litter. He says in that letter or,
apparently, says in that letter that he had seen
Dr. Taylor, if you look at the third paragraph that you can
see, Dr. Taylor, apparently, told the Right Honourable
Nicholas Scott MP that he had had several meetings, "useful
meetings", with McDonald's, "... but although some progress
has been made the position is still far from
satisfactory". Do you remember there being meetings
between Dr. Taylor and McDonald's? Was it reported at the
       Residents Association meeting?
       A. Oh, yes. I mean, he kept his Association informed of
       what he was doing.

  Q. Right, do you remember any of the details of those meetings
at all, where they took place or what was said?

  MR. RAMPTON: Was he there?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Were you at any of the meetings?
       A. No.

  Q. Does Dr. Taylor still live in the area and take an active
       part?
       A. Yes, yes. He is the Chairman of both the Royal Avenue
and the Royal Hospital Ward still. He lives in Royal
       Avenue.

  Q. So, for all I know, he is in Royal Avenue at this very
       moment or at work somewhere?
       A. I think he is at work somewhere; he is just taken on
       two consultancies.

  Q. In London?
       A. I do not think they are both in London. He is an
       engineer.

  Q. But he is firmly based in the Royal Avenue?
       A. Yes, absolutely.

  Q. That is his home?
       A. His home and his family are there.

  Q. You see, if it is important for me to know what happened at
