Day 076 - 18 Jan 95 - Page 07

       A. Yes, we had one time when a hairdressers' leafletiers
were handing out leaflets but that has since gone bust and
they only do it on Saturdays now.

  Q. So you made some complaints about that?
       A. We had a nine year battle, yes.

  Q. Over the leafleting?
       A. Over the leafleting, yes.

  Q. So it has not just been McDonald's environment/index.html">litter that you have
been concerned with; when another problem comes up you do
take that on board as well?
       A. Oh, absolutely, yes. It generally comes up under the
heading of the company. In other words, when -- the
hairdresser is called "Scissors", we did discuss it as
"Scissors"; when McDonald's came up we discussed it as
       "McDonald's".

  Q. Shall we have a look at the photographs? Mr. McIntyre has
brought some more photographs today which we have not seen
until this morning. I have shown them to Mr. Rampton. It
       may be useful -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I think the best thing -- shall I look at
       them as well?

MR. MORRIS: Shall I number them? It might be more helpful.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Have you the two which we saw before?

  MR. MORRIS: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Will you number those 1 and 2 or A and B,
       whichever you like?

MR. MORRIS: I will do it on the back.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, put them on the back. You can choose
whichever one you want first but make those the first two.
Then carry on numbering the others and then I will look at
       them all.

MR. MORRIS: I will just do them in the order in which they are
here. We will provide photocopies as soon as we can.
There is a total of nine with the ones that were already
       seen first.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Let me look at them and then Mr. McIntyre.
(Same handed) Is 48 next to you or across the road?
       A. Next to.

  Q. Is it away from Kings Road or nearer the Kings Road?
       A. Nearer the Kings Road; the numbering goes down one side
       and up the other.

  Q. Comes back up your side?
       A. Comes back up.

  Q. Yes, I recognise the same rubbish in 5 as in 1 and 2.
