MR. JUSTICE BELL: This really is comment now.

MR. MORRIS: Okay. You said you have not looked into reusables?
A. No.

Q. So you do not know if it is necessary, do you?
A. I have heard comment on reusables. I have not
personally looked into it.

Q. But you personally do not know if it is necessary?
A. I have heard a lot of comment on it, a lot of
discussion on it, I have read papers on it, but it is not
something I have looked into specifically because we have
not needed to look into it. I have to say our view of
reusables is that it is unhygienic, it is not safe and
certainly it is not energy efficient and you cause air
pollution to some extent. I do not really see a benefit in
a reusable.

Q. But you have not looked into it?
A. I have not looked into it.

Q. McDonald's UK have not looked into reusables?
A. No, I have not. McDonald's in Germany have, of course,
but I have not personally.

MR. MORRIS: It may be a suitable time to break for lunch. I am
trying to think if there are any more questions on this
issue.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just sit down because it would be helpful to
know if we have got to the end of the packaging
cross-examination.

MS. STEEL: I think that is it on packaging.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will resume at 2 o'clock.

(Luncheon Adjournment)
2.00 p.m.

MS. STEEL: I actually just missed out a question I should have
asked on packaging. You have asserted that there are no
problems with landfill, apart from when it gets full up and
there is no room for you to put to your waste there any
more?
A. As far as I am aware.

Q. Right. You are not aware of problems with chemical seepage
and methane gas being given off?
A. I am not.

Q. Have you pink volume V?
A. Yes.

Q. If you could turn to document 35 again?
A. Yes.
