     3        I remember from it was also reading news accounts.

     5   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  Do you have any knowledge of your own, behind
     6        what you have read in the newspapers?
     7        A.  No, I do not.

     9   MR. MORRIS:  What department in the Corporation, if that was
    10        true, would get that money?  It has to be your department?
    11        A.  No, it was not the Marketing department.

    13   Q.   Is it the International department, or something?
    14        A.  All I know it was not the Marketing department, and I
    15        do not believe it was International, either.  There has
    16        never been any funds that I know that have come from the US
    17        government into any budget that I have supervised.

    19   MR. MORRIS:   There is another reference to that on page 11 of
    20        that set of documents.

    22   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  Are there any reports where, as with Campbell
    23        soup, it looks as if the reporter or the newspaper put the
    24        information to McDonald's and asked for their comments?
    25        There is not on page 9.

    30        Associated Press has got the information wrong, or is it
    31        just something you do not know?

    43        this court -- which it is not your area of knowledge --
    44        decides that Chicken McNuggetts, for example, are high in
    45        fat, it is a food product that is high in fat-----

    48        Department, rather than any beneficiary, is it not?

    50   MR. MORRIS:  Yes.  I was hoping that, obviously, Mr. Green would 
    51        know about this and why the budget has now been cut.  Just 
    52        for the court's benefit, on page 159 of the World Health 
    53        Organisation Report 1990, one of the recommendations,
    54        specifically point 4:

    56        "Communicating to the major trading organizations the
    57        consequences of trading developments that might lead to
    58        adverse effects on health.  The export of subsidized
    59        saturated fat is an example of one potential problem."
