     4        A.  Through their regional office, through their local
     5        store marketing people.

     7   Q.   So there is one per region, or something like that?
     8        A.  There is an office per region, yes, and it would go
     9        through them.  But I think, typically, they now put a
    10        schedule together at the beginning of the year for the
    11        whole visits for the year.

    13   Q.   I actually meant was there a Ronald per region?
    14        A.  Oh, I see what you mean.  No.  There would be more than
    15        one per region.  I am not sure how they split it down now.
    16        It is not directly my responsibility.

    18   Q.   How many regions are there, or how many regions is
    19        McDonald's broken down into this country?
    20        A.  There are three regional offices, in terms of our main
    21        regions.

    23   Q.   That is not Scotland and Wales, or is that including them
    24        as well?
    25        A.  No.  Scotland comes under our Northern region and Wales
    26        comes under the Midlands.

    28   MR. JUSTICE BELL:  Is it simply Southern, Midland and Northern?

    32        A.  More or less.  That does not mean, though, that they
    33        exactly sort of divide the country.

    36        A.  Yes:  South, Midlands and North.

    38   MS. STEEL:  So where are these Ronalds attached to?
    39        A.  You mean where are they controlled from?

    45        A.  As far as I am aware, they are all on a particular fee
    46        for a performance.

    49        particular regional office, or there is not someone that is
    50        in charge of them, then---- 
    51        A.  There is someone.

    53   Q.   Right.  So who is that?
    54        A.  There is a field marketing person, a local store
    55        marketing person that will work in each of the -- a
    56        different person in each of the offices who would be
    57        responsible for the Ronald programme.

    59   Q.   Right.  But all six Ronalds could go anywhere in the
    60        country?
