witnesses and if we have not got copies to keep until this
is over then we are not going to be able to do that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How easy is it to make copies? Has someone
got a machine where you can just play them through?

MR. RAMPTON: I do not know. I will find out. If it is
difficult and expensive I may be resistant to that idea,
because it is the Defendants' obligation, if they want
copies of any disclosed document, to pay for it.

MS. STEEL: That is actually incorrect, because the Plaintiffs
asked for an order that we were not allowed to keep the
documents, and they specifically said they would pay for
all discovery as a result of making that request.

MR. RAMPTON: I am told they have them anyway.

  MS. STEEL:  We have two videos, one UK, one US; both children;
more than half of the ones that were shown this morning we
       have not seen.

MR. RAMPTON: Ms. Steel, I think, ought to go and look at what
she has and she will find probably that she has all the
       remaining material.

MS. STEEL: I think Mr. Rampton is wrong.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: At one o'clock I would like you to speak to
Mrs. Brinley-Codd or Mr. Hill to try and identify exactly
what you do have which is in Mr. Hill's possession and
what, if anything, you do not. You should borrow the tapes
which he has got over the weekend, unless there is any
objection to that. If there is any problem on Monday
morning we can talk about it then further.

MR. RAMPTON: I cannot lend the American tapes over the weekend,
       my Lord.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: When do we actually come to Mr. Green?

MR. RAMPTON: Probably on Tuesday. Mr. Green is arriving in
this country on Saturday night or early Sunday morning. We
       require the tapes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How long do they take altogether?

MR. RAMPTON: An hour. My Lord -----

MS. STEEL: Can I say, on this -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Pause a moment and let Mr. Rampton finish.

MR. RAMPTON: The much better suggestion is your Lordship's one,
that Ms. Steel sorts out with Mr. Hill or Mrs. Brinley-Codd
what she actually has. If it appears that she is short of
anything we might use in court, then we will try and
arrange it that she gets it before then. That is all I can
       say.
