Day 038 - 19 Oct 94 - Page 02
Wednesday, 19th October, 1994.

MS. STEEL: I have some papers we had to get copied this
morning.

MR. MORRIS: Rather than us doing that, it might be easier if we
make sure we have the same statement because Dr. Millstone
made some late touching up of his statement.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have an original statement, which is about
half a page, in addition to his CV. That is dated
21st July. I have a letter to you, Mr. Morris, dated
8th December 1993. I have a fax dated 28th October 1993.
Then I have a much longer statement.

MR. MORRIS: How many pages is your statement?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I am just looking to see how many pages that
goes to. It extends to 36 pages; the last page number is
36 and it is dated 8th December 1993.

MR. MORRIS: I do not know if the Plaintiffs have you the new
statement. We served it, I do not know when, a few days
ago and asked them to get copies for the court.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have it here.

MR. MORRIS: That should be, as far as I can make out, 38 pages
and the last one ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have one here which is seven pages. It is
a letter dated 7th March 1994, then it is followed by a
statement.

MR. MORRIS: How long is the statement?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It goes to 39 pages.

MR. MORRIS: Yes, that is correct. The last reference in it
should be No. 125 in that 39 page statement.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Is that 125 the last one?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes.

MR. MORRIS: That is the up-to-date statement.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: How does it relate to the first
because -----

MR. MORRIS: It supersedes all previous statements and
incorporates -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You say that; I spent two hours yesterday
going through Mr. Millstone's statement underlining parts
which I thought were important in an attempt to keep ahead
of the game.
