Day 031 - 05 Oct 94 - Page 29

       A. I think they have to be -- they have to sort of be
       cautious, yes.

  Q. I have two sections left. I was wondering if it was
possible to break early for lunch.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What are those?

MS. STEEL: The sections on the recommendations of various
bodies and then the section about groups at highest risk
       or people at highest risk.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I see you have an analysis and fatty acid
data on some of McDonald's foods. Is that something you
       are going to go into?

  MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: So that is a third one, is it?

MS. STEEL: Yes. It is covered by one of those, but, yes,
       I will go into that.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are you pretty confident you will finish
your questions to Professor Crawford this afternoon?

  MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: There is no reason, is there, Mr. Rampton,
why we should not break off now rather than later?

MS. STEEL: I meant to have an hour, but just to have the
       break earlier.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: You clearly would not finish if we had a
short break now and sat on? There is obviously more than
half an hour, is there not?

  MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: We will adjourn until a quarter to two.

                      (Short Adjournment)

                                          1.45 p.m.

MS. STEEL: I just wanted to go through now the papers you
have mentioned, if you could point us to the relevant
parts of the papers? The first one was the NATO workshop
on dietary fats and disease; the recommendations that were
made in 1986. They should be with the original statement,
the first statement. I think I handed up a copy some time
ago. I am not sure whether -----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I have proceedings of a NATO Advance
Research Workshop which was the one held in March 1986. I
will tell you what I have behind Professor Crawford's
first statement. I have got Essential Fatty Acids,
Prostaglandins, and Leukotrienes. Is that how they are
pronounced? The second International Congress in London,
