       that at the moment.

MR. MORRIS: If we go finally to nutrition, one of these two
new nutrition files, nutrition file pink VI. Just before
I point you to the document, if I just read this out, it
says -- to ask for your view on it -- "There is a
considerable amount of evidence to suggest".

MR. JUSTICE BELL: No, do not ----

MR. MORRIS: I want to do it because ----

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause. Do not look at the document
yet. Mr. Morris is going to read something. You are
going to look at it probably in a moment, but listen to
       Mr. Morris first of all.

MR. MORRIS: "There is a considerable amount of evidence to
suggest that many of the diseases which are more common in
the western affluent world, diseases such as obesity,
diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, some forms
of cancer, are related to diet". Would you agree with
       that, "considerable amount of evidence"?
       A. Sorry, can you read that again?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Read it slowly, if he is not actually
       looking at the document.

MR. MORRIS: "There is a considerable amount of evidence to
suggest that many of the diseases which are more common in
the western affluent world, such as obesity, diabetes,
high blood pressure, heart disease, some forms of cancer,
are related to diet". Do you agree with that?
       A. Yes.

  Q. "The typical western diet is relatively low in dietary
fibre and high in fat, salt and sugar. Many countries
have, therefore, published dietary guidelines, general
recommendations concerning diet which are aimed at the
whole population in order to prevent these diseases and to
promote good health." "These recommendations suggest that
on average people should eat more foods rich in dietary
fibre and less of the foods rich in fat, sugar and salt".
       Is that all quite reasonable?
       A. Yes.

  Q. The first bit I read of that was that the recommendations
concerning diet published by -- sorry, I will read that
sentence again. "Many countries have, therefore, [to deal
with those diseases I first mentioned, including cancer],
       published dietary guidelines, general recommendations
concerning diet which are aimed at the whole population in
order to prevent these diseases and to promote good
health." Would you say that is a bit strong to say that,
       prevention of those diseases?
       A. No, they are just stating a fact.

  Q. That the dietary guidelines ----
       A. That certainly countries have published guidelines
which, presumably, those countries believe might reduce
