Day 014 - 20 Jul 94 - Page 07
1 copy at home. That seems to me a fair distribution of
labour. If there is a very thick wodge of documents, it
2 seems to me it might be helpful if more photocopies are
made, but if it is something which is half a dozen sheets
3 of paper.
4 MR. RAMPTON: My petulance has been corrected by
Mrs. Brinley-Codd, who says it has been her invariable
5 habit always to serve two copies.
6 MS. STEEL: We only had one this morning, the references for
Mr. Wheeler.
7
MR. JUSTICE BELL: That is because you have only one set of
8 bundles in court.
9 MS. STEEL: Yes, but we have only one between us. That is how
it stands now.
10
MR. JUSTICE BELL: Are there no further copies of that
11 particular bundle?
12 MR. RAMPTON: I do not think so. I do not know whether there
is another one of those.
13
MS. STEEL: I have actually a copy.
14
MR. RAMPTON: That is fine. Then there is no problem because
15 that is the one that matters.
16 MR. JUSTICE BELL: You use the one in the bundle, Mr. Morris.
There is no use pulling faces; everyone has to pull
17 together in this case. You use the one which is there.
Ms. Steel can use the one which she has. If we run into
18 further problems, let me know. Call Professor Wheelock.
19 MR. RAMPTON: My Lord, I am grateful. Professor Wheelock,
please.
