Sir, - Congratulations to Bray district Council for its vision and innovation! Many of us locals may have thought that the town needed improved UDC, social welfare, community information or tourist offices. Others thought that old-folks' facilities, a new health centre or even an arts centre should have priority.

We were all wrong. All Bray Urban District Council had to do was to look deep into its own heart to find the truth. It discovered that Bray's most pressing need was for a McDonald's, located in its prime public building. The insight leaves one speechless. Well done, BUDC!
