There are plenty of people who would disagree. They would argue that McDonald's bombard us all with advertising, propoganda, sponsorship deals, promotions etc. While they don't knonk on our doors and shove the food directly down our throats, they do send junk mail promotional material door to door and try to increase the number of visits their existing customers are making.
> I don't think ANYONE is suggesting a steady diet of burgers and fries

They might not 'suggest' a steady diet of burgers but they do 'promote' it and encourage people to eat at McDonald's as much as possible.

"children, unable to make decisions as to what is in [their] own best interests" - that is the key. McDonald's target children and try to encourage them to eat a diet that is against their own best interests. They know that pester power makes it difficult for parents to refuse the childrens demands and since McDonald's propoganda tells parents that McDonald's food is 'good food', many parents do feed their children on a diet of burgers and fries.
> NO!!! You have to be living under a ROCK to not know about fat and

Knowing and Acting are two seperate things. (and if you think that those 'lite' products are healthy you are very wrong - they are just highly processed foods marketed on the back of health scares).
> And society is still getting heavier.
I wonder why - ("Enjoy More" - current McDonald's slogan in the UK)
> Let's place the blame where it belongs. On INDIVIDUAL CHOICE!!
> Not McDonald's!!!
While multinationals rule the world - there is very little individual choice.
