We all learn from our mistakes - I really don't see how that would get you into the managers good books...sure you save on labour but that goes mainly un-noticed by management unless you make a point of seeing your rostering manager and telling them how you saved X dollars by changing stuff around on the computers. Managers at my store would kick any employees ass who got onto the computer and changed the clock on/off times (for better or for worse)...
It just comes down to this:
If you want more hours, tell the rostering manager that you think you deserve more because you seem like a well established crew member and age should not matter considering a good crew person does the same work or better than 2-3 new employees.
Thats my opinion anyway
