I recently saw the McLibel film and was informed of this website. I would just like to say: how f###ing dare McDonalds, or any other corporation for that matter, deny their workers a basic fundamental tenet of Australian society, i.e. the freedom to join a trade union? We have legislation in Australia (and I'm sure in other countries) that says that you cannot be persecuted by an employer for belonging to a trade union, but I'd really like to see it enforced. I mean, if McDonalds sacked a worker for joining a union, what sanction would McDonalds face for breaking the law? None, I'm sure. I mean, isn't it enough that they pay their workers McMinimumWage?
If you're in a union, in any industry (and why wouldn't you be?), get your local delegates' committee to pass a motion condemning McDonalds for its neo-fascist attitude towards unions and other employee associations, and send it to the McDonalds' HQ in your country. It might not do much, but every little bit helps.
How do McProfits' corporate executives sleep at night? On a huge pile of money, I guess; no doubt a fair price for selling their soul and their humanity.
