Don't be so sure

I've been a vegetarian since 1985, and I don't patronize McDonalds or other fast-food restaurants.

But even if one eats meat, one can, and should, oppose the entire modern factory farm system. Right now, animals are subjected to a nightmarish existence -- one that is far, far different from farms of only 50 years ago. McDonalds helps perpetuate this inhumane situation.
Cruelty to animals not only harms the animals, but demeans and degrades people as well. We know better; now we should act better.
