A horror story for sure. But I don't think it's fair to blame every single McDonald's restaurant. Look over your message...there is only one big, fundamental problem with the store where you worked. Management. I work at a McD's in Ontario, Canada, and our managers are all great. Trainers and managers treat rookies like equals. When I was new, every single crew member was always willing to help me out if I had a question. Every employee is treated with respect. Quite frankly I was shocked by your message...I can't imagine working conditions like that. This goes to show you how much difference a good management team can do for a working environment. I could never be as decicated as I am now if my managers were half as bad as the ones you were describing. Burns go with the territory, especially if you're a rookie. And I agree that the McDonald's corporation probably doesn't care much about each individual employee. But I know at my store, my fellow crew members as well as crew trainers and managers DO care very much about me and every other employee. If your stories are accurate (and I don't doubt they are) then every single manager at that store should be fired.Ted
