McDonald's policies

I'm a McDonald's employee in Massachusetts, and I was recently ordered to shave my goatee. I don't mind, but I wonder why moustaches are allowed? Are moustache hairs more resistant to gravity, hence they don't fall in the food, whereas the chin hairs drop by the tens?
And one more thing...is colored hair against any policy? I can't seem to find it anywhere, and my hair is bright green...I don't wanna stop working, nor do I want to shave my head again. If anyone can answer this question, would you please drop me a line? Thank you
