I must say that it saddens me greatly to see such lies propagated in such a fashion. I can only assume that you have something personal against my company, since your comments are far from unbiased. I am a logical person and will admit to anything which the burden of evidence supports. Many of the claims on this site are true, or least approaching truth, but had you ever worked in a maccas run even close to properly, you would realise that the majority are simply lies or misinformation. McDonalds is actually one of the highest payers among its industrial peers once you get to 17 or so. Even so, work is not just about money. It is well known at my store that I would probably work to the point of collapse if the store needed me to. I put everything aside and jump when my store falters, regardless of whether or not I'm being paid. This is not for corporate McDonalds, but for the people I work with. Many of my workmates are like family to me and my store is like my child. I work my heart out for them, to ease their suffering, not to make McDonalds Australia more money. Corporately, yes..McDonalds is greedy, like any business, but if my store doesnt perform, the managers, the majority of which I count as friends, are the ones who feel the first pain from head office. By doing everything I can to help my store, I help my friends, and what could be more fulfilling than that? Work is what you make of it. Take true pride in it and you will be rewarded, if not by others then by the feeling that comes with seeing something you did, provide a benefit for people and things that you care for.
