Dear Froggy,Although your issues regarding Aussie Maccas Chick have been noted, you have to look at the broader picture. Whether she is only good for sweeping the Drive Thru lane or she is perfectly good on any station she is required to work, this has no bearing on the fact that McDonald's are exploiting it's employees.
Aussie Maccas Chick, as she has pointed out, needs to work for Mcdonald's as there is little work around where she lives. This does not mean that she should not be paid a fair wage, rostered fair working hours, and in whole, be treated like most other corporations treat their employees, with respect and as a human being.
Even if Aussie Maccas Chick did leave, McDonald's will still be treating their employees the same.
If you read the issues on these pages, not just the forums, you will see that this is just a small part of what is wrong with McDonald's. Aussie Maccas Chick, and others like her are not a minority, and the fact that she is being treated badly by her employers is not an isolated case.
You only have to look at the transcripts from the McLibel case to see this. for example those ex-employees for the defence (McSpotlight)each have a similar story to tell, these people are not from the same store, town or even country in some cases. As for McDonald's, the witnesses on their behalf seem to have somewhat, 'streched' the truth. In one case, A McDonald's manager who appeared in court happened to be one of my ex-managers, and from what I read from his testimony he obviously walked round with his eyes closed, or more realistically, is being worked like a puppet from the powers above.
So, Froggy, try looking at 'The Whole Picture'
