You all are so hard on McDonald's "never ending effort to make money", but might want to take a moment to recall the reason you went there looking for a job before you gather around and take shots at McD's. Everyone in this world is out to make money, the difference is not everyone has a strong enough work ethic to handle the responsibilities that are involved with being satisfied and successful in your job.
Perhaps one day, all of you selfish children will grow up to realize that there are certain sacrifices in life that we must all make. If more of you would pass up on some of the social events that come along in your busy lives and not request off so many days, maybe it would be easier for the management to find enough people to work. I suppose if I had Mommy and Daddy to buy me clothes and cars, pay my insurance, and cover any other bills I come up with, it would be easier to understand being so upset at having to work a few extra hours. When you all become adults and have bills your allowance won't cover, maybe your job will become more important than friends, parties, and concerts, and you won't feel so picked on just because you have to work.
As the scheduling manager at my McDonald's, I can say that not all McD's managers are unconcerned with your education; it's certainly very important to me, but you have to remember that we as managers have a store to run. If you are that upset about the hours you have to work and feel the need to place the blame on someone, put it where it belongs, on yourself and your co-workers. Take a look at how many days people request off and think about how many times people call in or simply don't show up.
