Animal testing is NOT fine. Would it be okay to breed human children for medical testing? It's not like they're being picked out of the wild and killed. They not an extinct species. Is that truely a justification for animal testing? The reality of it is that no two species react the same to any given chemical. Asprin is safe for humans, but leathal for rodants, while a guinea pig has no dangerous reaction to strycine (sp?), which would kill a human. There are human diseases that monkeys cannot catch. Scientist will create "similar" diseases to simulate the same symptoms as these diseases, but what does that do? They are not curing the actual disease. How does severing the spinalcord of a cat (a 4 legged animal) benefit studies in human (a 2 legged animal) spinalcord injuries? What scientific developments are being made by projecting a living breathing monkey into a wall at exessive speeds? It's not a matter of killing animals breed for that purpose, it's a matter of meaningless torture. These scientists are nothing but nazis, but they are not condemned because they only torture animals and not humans.
