I agree with the following letter sent by Ashley, in Canada. I love working for Wal*Mart. I have read so many bad things about Wal*Mart stores on the Web but it just makes me realize that not every store is the same. I've read messages saying that some Associates are overworked, mistreated, etc. It all depends on your particular store management team, if you ask me. I have nothing to complain about where my store is concerned. We get out fairly early every night, some nights the closing shift even gets to leave at nine, and yet the store looks great for the next day's business. (My store is a 24-Hour store.) Only during holidays and some weekends have we had to stay late zoning, but the way I look at it, if we didn't stay and clean and zone, then who would? I am very proud of my store, for it looks nice and clean and neat all the time. I can't say that for every store that I've been into. And I'm glad that my store can count on me to help keep it neat and clean. And at my store there is no favoritism; everyone is treated the same and over half of the Associates there today were there when the store opened twelve years ago. Not every store is perfect, but please, if you work at one of these stores that do give you trouble, don't take it out against the whole company. Some stores are just going to run better than others. If I found myself unhappy at one Wal*Mart store, I would simply transfer to another one.
