- Multinationals -Wal*Mart layoffs
Wal*Marts reorganization of the general office support group. Some 400 people were told August 19th that most of thier jobs were being either eliminated or or moved to other areas. As of August 27th 1999. 8 days notice to find another job!!! Long time employees were released while some with as little as two weeks with the company retained. Cheaper help???? Wal*mart denies displacing/ terminating the employees. Says they are placing those displaced employees in other jobs in the company. August 27th we shall see how many of those employees actually have jobs. I would like to hear from those employees. Please post your own message. Did Wal*Mart take care of you like "family"?? None.
