To All McDonald's Employees(Past and Present) I want to know if there is anyone in the world out there who has never complained about working at McDonald's. If no one replies to my message then I guess I'm just one of the unlucky people in the world who has had a really bad experience while working for this company. But if I do recieve replies to this message, then I will not be surprised and I will not find myself alone in saying that McDonald's is the worst place in the whole wide world to work.
I want to say that in the span of my three years working at McDonald's I've had all of these things happen to me.
1. I was pushed over the grease vat and was almost burned up to the elbows in hot grease.
2. I was verbally abused by managers and coworkers.
3. I was wrongfully accused of stealing.
4. My job was threatened repeatedly for no reason at all.
5. I was sexually assaulted for several months while working.
6. I got grease in my eyes and there was no first aid kit for burns and I was not even offered help. I had to find my own way to the hospital.
7. I was depressed.
In all of these cases I always went to the managers for help and I did not get any. So if anyone agrees with their "Open door policy" I think it's a crock of bull.
McDonald's does not care for it's employees. If they did we would be getting higher wages and we would not be verbally abused by managers.
In my place of employment, if you were not friends with a manager and if you didn't go to their houses then you were made fun of by the managers whenever they were working with other crew members.
Face it McDonald's thinks that since 90% of all workers are teens that they can be pushed around. They think that teens are stupid. When in fact we are for working so hard for minimum wages.
Look a janitor gets paid at least 10 dollars an hour for the work that they do. But I was doing janitorial work and I was not paid that amount.
I applied to work in the kitchen and I often found myself cleaning up the playplace when some little kids pissed in it! I found myself changing garbages and wiping down tables and washing floors and cleaning toilets. Does that sound like cooking to you?
What I am trying to say is that if there is anyone out there who has gone through what I have, I would like for you to email me personally. I would like to share stories.
