Hello, Bryan, me old duckieSorry to hear about your troubles with MIDLAND BANK. Glad to know you're hanging on in there. As you might already know, it's not just the legal subject you have to suddenly be expert on, but the goddam Court Procedure as well, and it's the latter which usually trips up the poor old Litigant-in-Person.
As I understand it, the court are pretty-well swamped with d.i.y. litigants, most of whom get 'tripped up' by the procedure only to have their case chucked out before trial.
Looks like Lord Irvine has finally bowed to public opinion of our Court System as it stands, and a good old shake-up in the offing. Too late for my goodself, but good on yer for staying with it.
Me, I've gone back to what I do best, for the time being at least, and have done a song-tape, with songs taken from the musical I'm working on called DUCK IN THE DOCK. Making full use of samples of the brothers THORNTON and such stuff as I scooped up at their AGM on me dictaphone.
Speaking as I do to legal types now and then, it is fairly-well understood that THORNTONS swiped my work then held me at bay with money while they suck the juice out of my duck. It's not the most original story in the world but a new one on me.
All the best to you and anyone else with balls enough to challenge corporate bullying. A fart in the face of a fat cat a day, helps keep the bitterness at bay.
Drop me an E-mail with your snail mail for your complimentary copy of DUCK IN THE DOCK.
regards from Ed (the ill-bred) Lane and Jake the Drake.
