The clash here seems to be based on different sets of priorities. If mindless carnivores as these don't care about being fat lardarses (that's the australian spelling) fraught with cardiovascular disease, then it's probably going to be difficult to persuade them otherwise. Personally, as a puritan vegan, I find a 75% reduction in kidney disease, lower risks of heart disease, greater longevity and quality of life, lower risks of food poisoning and obesity, etc., more than sufficient incentive to stop ingesting carcass, but that's just me.
