As one of the more, erm, regular posters here in the last year, I just thought I'd post something expressing my appreciation of the people who've gotten off their backsides to make this information available to Joe Public. It's at least partially due to their efforts that the trial has received the publicity it has done.Also, it has been a place to swap opinions with reasonably intelligent and informed people (generally anti-McD's) and give some moral support to the defendants in this case - they need all the help they can get.
In the five years I've been online, I've seen the Net go from a largely free and anarchic group of universities' staff and students to a moderately commercial chat room. It's currently headed squarely for the lowest common denominator, populated by illiterate and insecure people who feel the need to spout poisonous gibberish to the world (I hope I don't fall into this category...). Which makes it all the more refreshing to have a regular site to go to where the information is accurate, the "make money" content minimal-to-zero and the tone reassuringly anarchistic.
Thankyou, McSpotlight, for being intelligent, informed, non profit-motivated, clued up and having the spine to stand up and be counted amongst the protesting.
