You say france is THE country of gastronomy. This is still true and millions of tourists can witness it. then the BIG question is: why don't YOU like the french way to do Mc Donald food? the answer is easy! French Mc donald's have adapted their food to the french gastronomy criteria. So if you comme from were 'root beer' 'apple pie with cheddar coating' and 'marshwallow sauce' are the paramount, may be you are no longer qualified to say what is 'good' or 'bad'. So maybe you shoudl ask somebody who has not the American taste what he thinks about it, and learn about American standards from that.
