About the rainforest

At first, they did not. Then in the 1980's they started to buy beef from cows that I think were from Costa Rica, on former rainforest land. However, people soon started passing out rainforest literature to BK customers and somehow they got a lot of people to boycott BK. Plus a lot of franchisees demanded that BK stop buying rainforest beef. Since BK thinks of the customers and cares what they think, and probably the corporate people felt that everyone was against them, they immediatley stopped buying rainforest beef.
