this is my first visit to this site and i am really amazed by the responses. i am especially appalled by ronald's comments.first of all, abortion has absolutely nothing to do with this debate. bringing it up in your post only displays how inadequate your arguement against the mcdonald's critics is.
i agree that mcd's creates jobs, but what kind of conditions are we subjecting 14 year olds to? since mcd's is a world wide corporation their workers should at the very least be treated like human beings and not slaves. i have never worked at mcdonalds but i have friends who have, and they are always filled with horror stories.
since mcdonald's is such a huge business, they have a great responsibility to give consumers correct information about the food they are consuming and the reality behind recycling. portraying their food as nutritious is a big fat lie, as well as claiming their container are responsibly recycled. how can you criticize people who are trying to discover the truth?
i would like to believe that people are not sheep, and have the right to know what mcd's business practices are and the information to make a decision whether or not they want to support it.
also, you state that it's illegal to torture animals. correct. however, most of the meat used comes from other countries where they do not have such high standards. why don't you start reading the information provided in this website instead of criticising? you might learn something.
None.
