You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but why should your definition of cultural value take precendence over over anybody else's? You can push a boycott; that is also your privilege, but, really, don't you realize that people are basically getting what they want? If you are going to try to educate the "unwashed" masses as to what has cultural value, you are obviously on the losing end, because they have evidently already chosen.

By the way, why do you feel that you are qualified to defend cultures that you aren't even that familiar with? Ever been out of the country? Many of the poor "victims" of cultural oppression you are so compasionate about are very pleased to have another choice in their lives, no matter what that choice is. You wouldn't deprive them of that, would you?
