Yeah.. congrats on at least doing the right thing on parts of the case,
exploitation of children, animals, and workers. Shame about the stupid ruling on trade unions, deforestation etc.

> I can just hear the moans and groans of dirt munching, tree hugging

Oh. that must be me. moan moan.
You on the other hand (in the pay of McDonald's) seem to think that
McDonald's has been vindicated by the verdict. ha ha.
guess again.

> Sorry guys but McDonalds food specifically does not give people
> cancer.

Nobody said it did. The accusation was that a diet typified by McDoald's food (high fat, salt, low fibre) was linked to
heart disease and cancer. This was proved and McDonald's witnesses
even agreed.

> If that is the case, why aren't you hassling Wendy's or Burger King?

The factsheet did, as do campaigners around the world. The issue was never about McDonald's itself but the fast food industry, diet and nutrition and the beef industry itself.

> Heck according to various articles I have read, everything from
> spinach to tofu gives you cancer!

So you can read? Perhaps you could find youself a sensible book (as apposed to some article in a crap newspaper) and educate yourself about nutrition.

> As for it not being the most healthy type of food to consume, you
> will get no argument from me. However, McDonalds does not put a gun

No guns. Carrot always works better than the stick. They use a glossy constructed image and misleading marketing to encourage people to buy into the McExperience.

> It is called freedom of choice.

Choice of burger chains, soda companies, promotional toys etc.
Multinationals destroy choice by replacing local community and culture with standardised fare.

> As for these silly radicals Dave and Helen, sorry about your luck!

It's nothing to do with luck.. And no doubt Helen and Dave have a
healthy contempt for the judges opinion and feel their have infact won a well deserved victory.

> Freedom of speech is a great thing except when the privlege is used
> to abuse others for personal reasons.

What are you talking about? Make some sense...
