THE GREAT AMERICAN MEATOUT - MARCH 20th

For the 17th year in a row, vegetarian and animal rights organizations are organizing The Great American Meatout on March 20. It's a day to remind Americans of the health and environmental benefits of a vegetarian diet, and of the pain and suffering of animals within the meat industry.

Events are planned around the country (and fittingly, they often include at least one spirited protest at a McDonalds). For more information, you can check out The Great American Meatout.
