I read somewhere that:
-70% of U.S. grain productions is fed to livestock.
-5 million acres of rain forest are cut down every year in South and Centeral America alone to create cattle pasture.
-Animal agriculture is a cheif contributor to water pollution.
-Pounds of edible product that can be produces on an acre of prime land: 20,000 of apples; 30,000 of carrots, 40,000 of potatoes, 50,000 of tomatoes, 250 of beef.
-20 vegans could live off the same ammount of land that it takes to feed one meat eater.
