The trashing of the McDo in Millau (South-western France) is for the Confédération paysanne the beginning of a struggle against 'transforming people into merchandise'. The leader of this movement has refused to make it a protectionist fight against the US, seeking alliances with people in North America and elsewhere who are against McDonaldisation
