Personally, I don't like to eat at fast-food outlets (or any corporate chains) for many reasons, including environmental damage and how they treat their workers. However, I have eaten a Harvey's veggie burger while taking a ride between Canadian cities - of course there aren't any grocery stores where you can pick up some fruit and cheese (I'm not vegan). I sure wouldn't want to eat burgers of any kind on a daily basis - I'm more an Anna Thomas veg epicure type - but the veggie burger wasn't bad and I needed some protein.
In response to some of the posts, I actually love the flavour of 'charred dead animal', though I'd rather avoid the cruelty, the health hazards and the environmental damage associated with meat. I enjoy certain 'vegetarian meat products' (Yves veg burgers are very good in Canada, and no, that isn't a commercial plug) and feel no reason to apologise for that food choice.
